The Ripplefold curtain which is similar to Wave Fold curtain or S Fold Curtain is becoming more and more popular recently, it will give you more modern, unique and a versatile look compared to the Pinch pleated curtain, the Ripplefold curtain is created through carrier spacing ( glider cord spacing ) and heading tape, it looks gentle, continuous fold drapery from begin to end of track, this soft flowing wave effect allows the fabric to drape beautifully and the overall look creates a very contemporary and on-trend finish.
S Fold (Wave Fold) curtains are a sleek and modern choice for window treatments, offering a flowing design that adds a touch of sophistication to any room. Unlike traditional curtains that rely on pleats or gathers, wave curtains utilise a special flat tape sewn into the heading. This tape is key to creating those soft, 'S'-shaped waves that give wave curtains their distinctive ripple effect when drawn.
Glider cord spacing/ Wave Spacing
Our motorised S Fold ( Wave Fold ) curtain tracks are supplied as assembled with the 80mm spaced wave glider cord.
The 80mm wave spacing creates deeper, more pronounced waves, resulting in larger, more dramatic folds. It will give you a more luxurious feel and it will be good for a larger windows such as a wide or tall windows.
Curtain hook spacing
This is the space between the two curtain hooks, defined by the number of empty pockets on the heading tape, known as the pocket factor. The pocket factor will affect the depth and stack sizes of the curtain.The finished appearance gives a neat, sinuous effect, with the fabric hanging neatly directly below the track.
